Short Kut: The Con Is On, an Anil Kapoor Films Company presentation , was unveiled at this year’s Videocon IIFA. The hype revolving around the film is immense keeping in view the glam roles and the movie being a big budget release.

Neeraj Vora, who has penned great films like Raju Ban Gaya Gentleman, Virasat, Badshah and Pukar, had a blockbuster on his hands when he directed Phir Hera Pheri. This Friday, i.e on 08.09.2009 he promises to tickle our funny bone with Short Kut: The Con Is On, his next directorial venture.

Actress Amrita Rao, who shot to fame with her role as the traditional Indian girl in 'Vivaah', is all set to surprise her fans with an ultra-glam avatar in upcoming film 'ShortKut'.

Short Kut captures the trials and tribulations of two conmen, a struggling director and an actor. Shekhar (Akshaye Khanna), an aspiring assistant director, and Raju (Arshad Warsi), a wannabe junior artiste, are struggling to make it in the film industry. While Shekhar is supremely talented and confident, Raju is a buffoon who thinks he is God’s gift to Bollywood! As luck would have it, Raju manages to steal Shekhar’s prized script and is catapulted towards stardom. Soon Shekhar plunges into a phase of self pity and dejection, which makes his wife Mansi (Amrita Rao) leave him. Shattered, Shekhar goes hunting for a chance to get even with Raju.
